APS™

Asset Performance Sustainment

Sustain performance. Reduce dependency.

WhAT IS APS™

Optimisation without sustainment is temporary. APS™ protects the value captured during KAPO™, prevents performance from reverting to baseline, and provides flexible technical resourcing for clients who need embedded engineering expertise.

APS™ is modular. You can engage the full programme or individual modules based on your needs. Technical Resourcing and Key Academy training can be engaged independently; no prior APA™ or KAPO™ required.

Module 1

PERFORMANCE MONITORING & SUPPORT

Always watching. Always available.

  • 24/7 control systems support; remote and structured
  • Dashboards built on your existing operational data (not new software)
  • Stability and variability tracking against established baselines
  • Early degradation detection; proactive, not reactive
  • Structured support with SLA and dedicated customer service manager

Module 2

CONTROL GOVERNANCE

Protecting what works.

  • Alarm management and rationalisation
  • Change discipline; structured approach to control system modifications
  • Operational philosophy alignment across shifts and teams
  • Protection of implemented strategies against drift or undocumented changes

Module 3

CAPABILITY DEVELOPMENT

Building your team's capability. Not our dependency.

Two tiers within one module:

Engagement-Specific (Tier A):  Practical coaching tied to your APA™ or KAPO™ engagement. Not classroom theory; real coaching during real operations. Structured knowledge transfer, operational criteria development, and the skills your team needs to maintain and extend improvements independently.

Key Academy (Tier B): Standalone professional development programmes available to any organisation. Designed to build advanced technical capability across process control, automation, AI/ML, and emerging industrial technologies.

Key Academy Programmes:

  • AI-Augmented Process Optimisation for Engineers; APC + ML, variability reduction, constraint control, hybrid strategies
  • Predictive Maintenance; Practical Implementation Workshop; failure modes, data quality, modelling approaches, PdM deployment
  • AI for Automation & Control Engineers; ML fundamentals in PLC/DCS environments, integration patterns
  • Edge Computing & IIoT for Industrial Plants; edge vs cloud, latency, architecture, cybersecurity considerations
  • Digital Twins for Operations & Optimisation; where twins add value, simulation use cases, control strategy validation

Module 4

TECHNICAL RESOURCING

Your team, extended.

  • Vendor-agnostic collaboration services; process control engineers, developers, and project managers embedded in your team
  • Operates across all major platforms (Rockwell, Yokogawa, ABB, Honeywell, Siemens, GE, AVEVA/Citect)
  • Can be engaged independently; no requirement for prior APA™ or KAPO™
  • All personnel backed by Key's internal team of senior SMEs

MODULAR BY DESIGN

Implement APS™ fully or module-by-module. Technical Resourcing and Key Academy operate independently. The objective is to strengthen your autonomy; not create external dependency.
