Approach

Our proprietary delivery framework. Structured.
Repeatable. Proven.

WhAT IS MAESTRO

Every Key Engineering engagement follows the Maestro Approach. It's not a slide in a proposal; it's the operating system behind how we diagnose, optimise, and sustain performance for our clients.

The name is an acronym: M-A-E-S-T-R-O. Four phases, with the Sustain phase containing three sub-steps that complete the framework.

THE FOUR PHASES

Measure

Establish baselines. Collect and validate operational data from your existing control systems to understand current performance. This is where we listen to your plant before we form any opinions.

(Asset Performance Assessment)

Analyse

Root-cause diagnosis. Identify pain points, variability sources, and constraint gaps. Prioritise opportunities based on evidence, not assumptions. Align internal stakeholders around a shared understanding.

Execute

Implement optimisation strategies through hands-on engineering, delivering measurable improvements through PID tuning, strategy redesign and advanced process control.

KAPO™
(Key Asset Performance Optimisation)

Sustain

Embed improvements so they endure. The Sustain phase contains three integrated sub-steps that complete the MAESTRO acronym and ensure your gains are permanent, not temporary:

Sustain Performance

T — TRAIN

Build internal capability and ownership. Your team should be able to maintain and extend improvements independently after we leave.

R — REPORT

Track KPIs, communicate outcomes and provide visibility on sustained performance versus baseline. What gets measured gets managed.

O — OPTIMISE

Continuous refinement. As operations mature, new opportunities emerge. The Optimise step feeds future improvement cycles.

WHY IT MATTERS

We don't improvise.

Many consultancies arrive, do their work, and leave. The results last a few months, then performance drifts back to where it was. The Maestro Approach is specifically designed to prevent that. The Sustain phase (with Train, Report, and Optimise) is not an afterthought; it's a core part of the framework.

When a client asks 'how do I know the improvements will stick?' the Maestro Approach is our answer.
